Adventure Goals
Why Adventure Goals first? You wanted to learn how to create an online business, not make some silly list about adventures. Ok, I know this. But, I ask you this: when things get really, really hard and you are at the point of quitting, what is going to keep driving you? What will keep you going to the finish line?
Some of you will say that paying your bills will keep you going. Stop! That is what your job does, remember, you are creating a business here. Some will say family responsibilities - yes, family members are great motivators. Nothing gets you moving quicker than the needs of your children. But, is that enough to sustain your long term vision? If you are like me, you want your goals to be noble, you want to start paying rent for your time on planet earth. These will drive you quite a ways down your chosen road. But, ultimately what will keep you going when nothing else can, will be these fun adventure goals that you set for yourself... for just you. These will be the things that cause you to get up each morning with a smile on your face and a fire in your belly. I choose to have physical adventures goals, because I want to stretch myself beyond my every day experience. Being physically active is a requirement for my happiness. Being challenged to the breaking point brings me great joy. You may not share a love of physical activity with me, so please pick your own adventure goals. Please make them challenging and make them fun. And the whole IempowerU Team wants to know about your goals and share in the successes with you. Register for the blog, enter your goals there. Then when you are actually doing your goal, have someone take a video(you could even use your cellphone to take it) and upload it onto our site! Then everyone can share in the adventure! If you can send us a few photos, we will post those as well. One final note: As you plan your goals, ask your friends and family to support your efforts in a unique way. Have them become investors on your behalf at www.kiva.org. They help you invest with entrepreneurs living in developing countries. It is micro-financing at its best. A friend of mine has been working as an investor with this group for years and has only good things to say about them. Let the Adventure Goals begin!
